Welcome to Auroratie. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of Service: Auroratie is provided "as is". We aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information about public APIs, but we cannot guarantee the availability or accuracy of third-party services listed on our platform.

2. User Conduct & Monitoring: You agree to use Auroratie for lawful purposes only. Any attempt to disrupt, damage, or unauthorizedly access our systems is prohibited. Users logging in via GitHub are responsible for the activity under their session. We monitor application errors and aggregate usage behavior to maintain platform stability.

3. Intellectual Property: The Auroratie interface, design, and original content are protected by copyright. Third-party API names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

4. Changes to Terms: We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

5. Advertising & Sponsored Content: We display advertisements via Google AdSense to help support the service. These ads may use cookies to serve personalized content. We also offer paid API sponsorships that feature a sponsor's API on our platform for a fixed duration. Sponsored placements are paid promotion and do not constitute our endorsement; we reserve the right to decline or remove any sponsorship at our discretion.

6. Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to use this service.

7. Payments, Donations & Refunds: One-time donations and API sponsorship fees are processed securely by Stripe in US dollars; we never receive or store your payment card details. Donations are voluntary contributions and are non-refundable. Sponsorship fees are non-refundable once the sponsored placement has begun; if we are unable to deliver a purchased sponsorship, we will issue a full refund. We do not guarantee any specific level of traffic, clicks, or conversions from a sponsorship.

8. AI Features & Credits: AI-powered recommendations are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify an API's terms, pricing, and capabilities before relying on it. AI usage is subject to a daily quota. Bonus AI searches earned through referrals or rewarded ads have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and may be adjusted or revoked at any time, including in cases of abuse.

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Data Collection & Analytics: When you log in via GitHub, we collect essential profile information (Name, Email, Avatar) and securely store your preferences, favorites, and search prompts in our database to provide a personalized experience and the AI History features. We also utilize third-party services like Sentry for error tracking and PostHog for product analytics. Our advertising partners (like Google) may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your visits to our site. These tools collect anonymized usage statistics and crash reports to help us improve the service. When you use the AI recommendation feature, your prompt is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate results and is handled by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.

2. Cookies: We use secure, HTTP-only cookies to manage your authentication session. We may also use cookies or similar technologies to enhance your experience, such as remembering your preferences or theme settings. If you visit Auroratie through a referral link, we store the referral code in a cookie for 24 hours to attribute referral rewards.

3. Third-Party Links: Our website contains links to external websites (APIs). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites.

5. Data Retention & Deletion: We retain your profile data as long as your account is active. You have full self-service control over your data: you can clear your AI history or favorites at any time in Settings, or disconnect your GitHub account and permanently delete all associated data immediately via the Profile page. You may also request data deletion by contacting us at Auroratie+Inquiry@gmail.com.

6. Payments: Donation and sponsorship payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout page and never pass through our servers. To create the checkout session and receipt, we share your email address and, for sponsorships, the details you submit (API name, duration, and targeting keywords) with Stripe, which handles them under its own privacy policy.
